A fire broke out in an apartment on the first floor of a block of flats in Empa, Paphos. The occupant was taken to the hospital due to smoke inhalation. Other residents evacuated safely. The fire started in the bedroom and caused damage. The cause of the fire will be investigated by authorities.

Two individuals will be taken to the hospital for medical examinations as a precaution. Police officers are at the scenes, conducting investigations and regulating traffic flow.

Two men, aged 27 and 35, were sentenced to 15 and nine years in prison for drug trafficking, drug possession, and money laundering. The 35-year-old’s property worth €48,900 was also seized.
