A fire broke out on Saturday at noon in an apartment on the first floor of a block of flats in the area of Empa in Paphos.
According to Fire Brigade spokesman Andreas Kettis, the occupant of the apartment was taken by ambulance to the Pafos General Hospital’s emergency room after he experienced respiratory problems due to smoke inhalation.
The other residents of other apartments evacuated the area without any problems.
The fire broke out in the bedroom of the apartment causing damage. The Fire Brigade responded with two fire engines.
