Woman arrested after swallowing packets of cocaine
A 24-year-old woman was remanded in custody for eight days after admitting to Larnaca airport police that she had swallowed packets of cocaine before traveling to Cyprus. During a search of her luggage, nothing objectionable was found, but an x-ray at Larnaca general hospital revealed that she was “carrying a number of foreign objects,” leading to her arrest. The police investigation is ongoing.
UK fashion retailers ASOS, Boohoo to clarify green credentials claims, says regulator
Top fashion retailers ASOS, Boohoo, and George at Asda have signed undertakings to clarify the way they display, describe, and promote their environmental credentials. The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) conducted an investigation in 2022 to address companies exaggerating their green credentials. Some of the undertakings include using clear statements about materials in green ranges and setting criteria for products in environmental collections. The three brands collectively make over 4.4 billion pounds annually from UK fashion sales.

22-year-old arrested for burglary and narcotics
A 22-year-old individual was arrested in Limassol for burglaries, thefts, illegal possession of property, and narcotics. The suspect was recognized by a woman who saw him in an auxiliary cottage behind her house. Property totaling approximately 2,708 euros was stolen in three cases between 06/03/2024-20/03/2024. The suspect was found with a small quantity of crystalline methamphetamine and re-arrested for flagrant offenses.

Abuses in Gesy, , €80,000 in fines
The Health Insurance Organisation (Hio) issued €80,000 in fines to over 40 health service providers for abusing Gesy. Over 80,000 requests filed by providers were rejected, totaling around €10 million. Fewer than ten cases are currently under police investigation.
