A 23-year-old driver was remanded in custody for four days after running over and killing a 77-year-old woman in the village of Kokkinotrimithia. The driver initially left the scene but later turned himself in to the police. The cause of the woman’s death will be determined at an autopsy, and the police investigation is ongoing.
A 48-year-old man was remanded for eight days by the Nicosia district court for allegedly being involved in a case of phone fraud where individuals impersonated doctors.
