Last Tuesday, the Greek police failed to protect a vulnerable citizen in a police station. The incident highlights the systemic issue that victims of abuse are left to fend for themselves. Cyprus introduced the crime of femicide in 2022, aiming to combat gender-based violence. Despite efforts, Greece continues to cover up and encourage gender crimes, leading to future incidents.
