Man arrested for attempted car theft

The police in Paphos arrested a 36-year-old man while he was attempting to steal a car in Kato Paphos, which he had broken into and was trying to start using cables.
His location was pinpointed after citizens called the police in the early hours today, reporting that someone was trying to steal a car in an area of Kato Paphos.
Police officers arrived at the scene and found an individual sitting in the driver’s seat of the car without license plates, which were found inside the vehicle.
The individual was trying to start the vehicle using cables found under the steering wheel, without having the car keys in his possession.
It was determined that the particular car is registered to a 53-year-old resident of Paphos.
Upon interrogation, the 36-year-old failed to provide satisfactory explanations, leading to his arrest for the crime of unlawful possession of property, and he was placed under arrest.
