Turkish Cypriot authorities have requested information from Turkey regarding Cypriots being refused entry to the country. The issue was brought up at the highest level and explanations have been requested. Those on the N-82 list must apply in advance for pre-clearance to enter Turkey. 15 Cypriots have reported being informed that they are on the N-82 or G-82 list.
North opposition figure refused entry to Turkey
Evrim Hincal, the financial secretary of Turkish Cypriot opposition party the TDP, was refused entry to Turkey on Wednesday. He was sent back to Cyprus alongside his wife and his four-year-old daughter after being told he was on Turkey’s N-82 list.
