The Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society has been organizing the ‘Christodoula March’ for 49 years, named after a cancer patient named Christodoula. The march symbolizes social solidarity and moral encouragement in the ongoing battle against cancer and serves as the primary funding source for the society.
The 49th Christodoula’s Walk took place in various cities in Cyprus, gathering citizens of all ages to support the Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society. The walk started in Limassol on April 7th and in other cities on April 14th, with different starting points in each city. The event is the largest awareness campaign in Cyprus related to cancer, and during the opening ceremony in Nicosia, the President of the Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society expressed gratitude for the support of the Cypriot society. The Cyprus Bank has been a loyal ally of the society for 26 years, providing consistent support for their efforts.
