Disciplinary proceedings have begun at state broadcaster CyBC against director general Thanasis Tsokos for allegations of abuse of power and financial mismanagement. The board of CyBC is meeting to appoint a Deputy Director General to ensure normal operation. A decision for a disciplinary investigation into Tsokos was made by the cabinet on April 30, 2024, with Emmanuella Lambrianidou appointed as the investigating officer.

Assault cases are being investigated by the Kokkinotrimithia Police Station. A 43-year-old man reported being attacked by a 27-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman who illegally entered his residence and used a knife. The suspects were injured and taken to the hospital, along with the victim. The 43-year-old man was arrested on a court warrant to investigate the complaints of the suspects, while police are also investigating his complaint of assault.
Cyprus has managed to promote important reforms and launch public investments through the Recovery Plan, with more than 40 sponsorship projects announced. Two women in Paphos were robbed at gunpoint by two unknown men who entered their residence after the main door was left open. The suspects were described as being of strong build, 1.75m to 1.8m tall, and aged between 35 and 40 years old. Police in Paphos are continuing examinations to locate the suspects.
