Motorcyclist dies in Limassol on Easter Day (photos)
A 30-year-old man named Eftyhios Haritou was killed in a road accident on Easter Day in Limassol. The accident involved a head-on collision between Haritou’s motorcycle and a vehicle, resulting in his death at the hospital. The driver of the vehicle and two passengers were injured but not seriously. The Limassol Traffic Police are investigating the incident.

Arrest for the attempted murder of Dimitris Andronikou
A person of Romanian origin was arrested by the Nicosia CID in connection with the attempted murder of Dimitris Andronikou on the Palaichori – Anthoupolis road. The suspect is believed to have provided the physical perpetrators with a stolen scooter-type motorcycle.

House set ablaze in Easter violence
A house belonging to a 73-year-old man was set on fire by a group of up to 70 youths in the village of Kiti, near Larnaca. Fires broke out in various areas of the man’s house and on its veranda, with rocks being thrown at the house and breaking some of its windows. The incident lasted for a total of six hours, during which a local playground and a local church were also damaged by the same group of youths.
