With amendments to the legislation, the Council of Ministers will decide on holding matches behind closed doors

The way is being opened for football matches to be played without fans and the government-initiated lockdown of fans' associations. Late last night the Minister of Justice, Marios Harsiotis, after the discredit received by the state from KOP and unions, announced that the government has decided to promote two amendments to the legislation through which the authority will be given to the Council of Ministers to decide on holding matches behind closed doors doors, while now entrusting the responsibility of running the fan links to the associations.
