The Anti-Corruption Authority rushes to Parliament to receive €1 million for investigations – €1,100 a day for foreign investigators

The year 2024 will be the year of Nikos Anastasiadis as all the complaints filed against him are expected to be investigated

The head of the Anti-Corruption Authority, Transparency Commissioner Haris Pogiatzis, will next Monday pass the threshold of the Parliament in order to request the release of a fund of €1,040,000 foreseen in the Authority's budget for the year 2024, which is intended for the investigation of complaints concerning alleged acts of corruption. The amount of €40,000 will be allocated to cover the costs of translations and the remaining €1 million will be used to pay the investigative officers-inspectors who undertake the investigation of the complaints.
