Paphos Police arrested a 44-year-old man on Sunday in connection with a theft case.
The investigation began after a woman reported her wallet missing on Saturday, May 20.
According to Paphos Police Chief of Operations Michalis Nicolaou, the woman lost her wallet while shopping at a supermarket in Mandria two days prior.
The wallet contained cash in various currencies – US dollars, €1,500, £400, and 800 Hong Kong dollars – along with documents.
An investigation led to evidence implicating a 44-year-old, who was arrested on Sunday evening.
A search of his residence recovered part of the stolen cash, Nicolaou confirmed.
