A large fire erupted on Wednesday in a derelict cinema in Limassol.
Fire Service Spokesperson Andreas Kettis confirmed that four fire engines and a telescopic arm vehicle were deployed to combat the blaze.
Kettis noted that the cinema was completely engulfed in flames and that firefighters managed to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to surrounding buildings.
He added that the cinema’s roof collapsed and that residents of a nearby residence were evacuated.
The Police said that roads nearing the abandoned Cinema Apollon were closed for safety.
There are currently no reports of injuries, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.Fire. large fire, derelict cinema, firefighters
