Tsirio to be Cyprus, ’ ‘second national athletics stadium’
Limassol’s Tsirio Stadium is set to become Cyprus’ second national athletics stadium, as stated by the Olympia athletics club (GSO) chairman Kyriakos Tsolakis. A meeting discussing the stadium’s future and necessary repairs was held with Olympic committee chairman Ioannis Ioannou, attended by MPs, representatives of the Limassol Municipality, and other dignitaries. Despite needing to submit a new application for renovation permits, there is a collective desire for the stadium to be upgraded to serve as a national athletics venue.
