Digital dragons bring Cyprus to life (video)
The deputy ministry of tourism has created an augmented reality app called Heartland of Legends (HoL) that takes users on a virtual tour of 20 Cypriot villages using dragons and mythical characters. The app aims to develop rural and mountain tourism by offering authentic experiences and stories about the nature, tradition, and way of life in these areas. Users can visit the villages and uncover a story at each location, with designs inspired by the works of Cypriot engraver Hambis Tsangaris.
