The second annual exhibition titled Greek and Cypriot Printmakers in France (1920-2000) has opened at the Hambis Printmaking Museum in Plataniskia. It is presented alongside the exhibition Hambis the Illustrator and both will remain open until March 2025. The exhibition features works by Yannis Kefallinos, Dimitris Galanis, Polykleitos Regos, Lambros Orfanos, Mario Prassinos, Alekos Fassianos, Sarantis Karavouzis, Yulika Lakeridou, Aristidis Patsoglou, Stella Lancia, Christos Kalfas, Christos Christou, Paris Prekas, George Varlamos, Panagiotis Tetsis, Thodoros, and Christos Karas. The prints include wood engravings and woodcuts, linocuts, lithographs, zincographs, etchings, aquatints, drypoint, and sugar lift etching. Some works were donated to the museum, while others were purchased. The exhibition showcases the works of Greek and Cypriot printmakers who lived in France, mainly Paris, reflecting French printmaking trends and their personal inspirations. It also includes prints created in Greece by leading artists at the end of the 20th century. The exhibition is curated by Hélène Reeb and is open Wednesday-Sunday from 10am-1pm and 4pm-6pm at the Hambis Printmaking Museum in Plataniskia.
