The illogical trend of holiday tents and yurts
The Deputy Ministry of Tourism is working on upgrading the quality of local hotels and entertainment venues while also encouraging the development of camping in an organized fashion within non-residential areas. The proposed camp sites must be set up in wooded areas or areas to be planted by developers and have specific requirements such as sewage treatment plants, electricity, parking, fencing, and security. There are concerns about the haphazard development of these camp sites and potential ecological destruction in areas like Troodos and Akamas.
