Boxing-Beterbiev injury forces postponement of title bout with Bivol
The undisputed light heavyweight championship bout between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol in Saudi Arabia has been postponed due to Beterbiev’s ruptured meniscus in training. The bout was scheduled for June 1 in Riyadh, aiming to unify Beterbiev’s WBC, IBF, and WBO belts with Bivol’s WBA championship. The promoters plan to reschedule the fight before the end of the year. Former WBC champion Deontay Wilder will still be fighting Chinese heavyweight Zhilei Zhang on the undercard.
