Alarm sounded over atmospheric dust levels
The Cyprus Pulmonology Society raised concerns about high levels of dust in the atmosphere, which have been blown northwards towards Cyprus from the Sahara. People with chronic lung diseases are advised to avoid unnecessary movements and stay consistent with their medication. Other vulnerable groups, such as children, the elderly, and the infirm, should also avoid moving in open spaces and take preventative measures as dust levels increase.
