The Search and Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) activated the Nearchos plan to conduct an airlift for a 48-year-old man, a crew member of a cargo ship located approximately 120 nautical miles southwest of Cyprus. A helicopter from the 460MED of the aviation administration of the National Guard and a specialized nurse from the ambulance service were mobilized for the operation. The man was safely transported to Paphos general hospital in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
