Shop owner found with duty-free tobacco products
A 49-year-old shop owner in Paphos was fined four thousand euros for possessing and selling duty-free tobacco products. Police discovered the illegal products during an investigation in three establishments in Paphos aimed at combating the possession of firecrackers and duty-free tobacco. In the shop of the woman, police found 36 cartons of cigarettes, 200 grams of tobacco, and six cartons of electric combustion cigarettes without the required duty paid. The shop manager was issued a four thousand euro out-of-court notice by customs.
The 20th Classic Car Show in Paphos today and tomorrow
The 20th Classic Car Show organized by the Paphos Classic Vehicles Club, with the support of the Municipality of Paphos, will take place at the Medieval Castle Square on Sunday from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm. It is expected to feature around 300-350 classic cars, making it one of the largest shows ever held in Cyprus. The event will include activities for all ages and a classic car march on Saturday before the official opening.
Employee arrested for stealing from hotel rooms

Arms dealers wanted by the FBI are also based in Cyprus
Two businessmen of Arab origin linked to illegal arms trafficking to states hostile to the West have been connected to Cyprus. The individuals, Samir Raja and Mohammad Deiry, are wanted by the FBI and have set up companies in Cyprus for their activities. They are believed to be involved in arms trafficking without licenses and money laundering. The companies involved, S. Group Airlines Ltd and Centuronic Ltd, were recently sanctioned by the US Treasury Department.
