Cyprus has a low birth rate of 1.4 children per woman, which is below the replacement level of 2.1. In primary schools, 21% of children have two foreign parents, and in pre-schools, 25% of children have two foreign parents. Govt still searching for new medicine storage

The current premises were leased by the ministry to a private contractor for €6,600 per year and then re-leased back to the ministry for €135,000 per year, a markup of more than 2,000 per cent. There is currently no shortage of medicines in Cyprus.
Lebanon offers assurances on smashing people smuggling rings
Interior Minister Constantinos Ioannou stated that Cyprus understands Lebanon’s position and will work with EU allies to address migration flows. Lebanon has promised increased surveillance and cooperation to dismantle migrant smuggling rings. Cyprus is preparing for various scenarios related to migration. President Nikos Christodoulides may visit Lebanon again with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen to discuss migration. The next stop will be the informal European council meeting on April 18-19, where immigration and Lebanon’s actions will be evaluated. Lebanon recognizes the need to intensify and monitor the situation on its borders.
