Thousands of Americans have received warnings about severe weather conditions. At least 50 people have died this week due to the bad weather in the United States. The low temperatures, snowfall, and ice have made roads dangerous, disrupted air traffic, closed schools, and left thousands of households without electricity. In Tennessee, the Department of Health reported 14 deaths caused by the weather. In Pennsylvania, five women were killed in a truck accident on a highway. Five deaths related to the weather were also reported in Kentucky. In Oregon, three people died from electrocution when a power line fell on their car during a snowstorm. In Oregon, 75,000 people were without electricity on Friday night, and the governor declared a state of emergency. Deaths were also reported in Illinois, Kansas, New Hampshire, New York, Wisconsin, and Washington. Over 1,100 American flights were canceled and 8,000 were delayed due to the weather conditions. Cold temperatures are expected to continue in certain areas throughout the weekend.
