Around 300 people marched on Saturday noon in the center of Nicosia against racism and police violence, on occasion of the death of Anisur Rahman after a migrant raid in Limassol.
Holding banners, the protesters sent messages such as, “We love Cyprus, integrate us into society,” “Stop sending us back to danger.
As they say in a statement they demand:
- Stop Police repression
- All immigrants should be welcomed here with Respect
- Equal Access to Medical and Health Care Services
- Stop the dehumanisation of Asylum seekers and third country Nationals
- Stop deportations
