Volt for semi-state appointments: "The previous ones kept the pretenses"

"The previous ones also bribed, but allegedly kept up the pretenses by also appointing members of the opposition parties, thus consciously maintaining the balance in the old party and clientelistic system" the Volt Cyprus party says in a statement about the appointments to semi-state organizations.

The current appointments, it is added, have surpassed even their good old selves. "After they presented to the Cypriot people the Consultative Council as the breakthrough reform of transparency in the appointments of semi-state organizations, after they dragged thousands of scientists through the application process, they set up a legitimate selection body of their most loyal friends, relatives, followers and applauders who from tomorrow they will manage the public wealth of the country".

The announcement of Volt Cyprus also mentions that Nikos Christodoulidis came to the Presidential Elections as the exponent of the new, the moral, the modern, the non-partisan, "but with his every political action he proves that he is the most ideal successor of the school that the state wants to it is the pet peeve of the current rulers, of a mentality that stubbornly keeps Cyprus trapped in the past".
