A serious accident occurred shortly before noon in Paphos, resulting in serious injuries to the driver of the vehicle involved and minor injuries to his wife who was a passenger.
The accident occurred on Mesogis Avenue, leading to the Paphos exit to Polis Chrysochous, under circumstances being investigated by the Traffic Police. The car in which the two people were traveling overturned on the sides of the avenue, in an area where there are many commercial developments, and came to a halt without fortunately involving another vehicle on this road which has constant heavy traffic.
Police, ambulance, and a fire brigade team rushed to the scene and intervened to extricate the occupants of the overturned vehicle. The two people were taken to Paphos Hospital, where the driver was kept for treatment after being seriously injured according to doctors.
