Cyprus extends entertainment venue hours until early morning

Clubs, music venues and cabarets in Cyprus will now be permitted to operate with extended hours, Phileleftheros reported on Friday.
The extended hours were implemented following letters sent by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism’s General Director, Elikkos Elia, to relevant authorities.
Venues will now be allowed to operate from 8:00 pm to 4:00 am from Mondays to Thursdays and Sundays. Fridays and Saturdays will see an extended closing time of 5:00 am.
This effectively grants a 1.5-hour extension to previously established operating hours and remains in effect until September 30, as proposed by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism.
The Cyprus Association of Entertainment Venue Owners (PASIKA) has not yet commented on the new regulations, which only apply to specific categories of venues.
PASIKA has previously opposed such selective extensions, arguing they violate the spirit of existing legislation. The Association has advocated for a uniform extension applicable to all entertainment establishments.nightclubs. clubs, music venues, cabarets
