The Cypriot Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned the recent Israeli strikes on Rafah, expressing grief over the devastation and loss of civilian lives, including children, caused by the attacks.
In a statement released on X, Cyprus said, “We strongly deplore the recent strikes causing devastation and the deaths of so many civilians, including children, in Rafah.”
The statement continued, “We reiterate our call for an immediate ceasefire and the release of all hostages. International Law, including #IHL (International Humanitarian Law), must be respected in all cases.”
With this statement, Cyprus joins a chorus of international voices urging an end to the violence and calling for the protection of civilians caught in the conflict.
