Missing warranties in ‘Photovoltaics for All’ scheme, Consumers’ Association warns

The Cyprus Consumers’ Association (CCA) is alerting consumers participating in the ‘Photovoltaics for All’ subsidy scheme about a potential lack of mandatory warranties.
According to the association’s president Marios Drousiotis, the CCA has received information that some companies involved in the scheme are not offering the required seven-year warranty on photovoltaic installations.
This warranty is a key consumer protection measure outlined within the initiative.
The CCA urges consumers to be vigilant and thoroughly examine the terms of any offers they receive before entering into agreements.
If a minimum seven-year warranty is not explicitly mentioned, consumers are encouraged to contact the CCA at [email protected] for assistance in securing their rights.
