Mr President, you should feel a double dose of shame, not only because you had to intervene personally to resolve issues at the Kyperounta Hospital but also because the state’s agencies failed to address these matters themselves.
If the President of the country needs to get involved to fix a toilet and add a bed in a hospital, one can only imagine the level of intervention needed for more serious issues.
Therefore, Mr President, I urge you to call upon those responsible and make it crystal clear that they must immediately address and resolve the problems plaguing our hospitals, one by one.
SHSO (State Health Services Organisation) was established to ensure our state hospitals are competitive and not relegated to third-world standards.
