has calculated the reference interest rate at 11.42 per cent<\/strong>, exercising the powers granted to it by Article 314A of the Criminal Code Law, Chapter 154.<\/p>\n<div class=\"cypru-video-ads\" id=\"cypru-1820529572\">\n<div id=\"cypru-1381085418\" data-cypru-trackid=\"478051\" data-cypru-trackbid=\"1\" class=\"cypru-target\">\n<div id=\"gpt-ad-3604615393452-0\">\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>In a statement, the Central Bank, invoking the specific article, said that \u201cit constitutes an <strong>offence<\/strong> when a person, in the provision of any loan, the extension or renewal of the repayment deadline, the renewal, or the early repayment of a loan, receives, collects, charges, contracts, or obtains for oneself or for a third party financial<strong> benefits or assets that exceed the reference interest rate<\/strong>\u201c.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Central Bank of Cyprus has
