A fire broke out at the Timberline Lodge Hotel located in Oregon, United States, known as the Overlook Hotel from Stanley Kubrick\u2019s 1980 film The Shining.
\nIts roof and attic were engulfed in flames, but fortunately, the fire was brought under control before it could spread to the rest of the building.
\nBoth guests and staff were evacuated immediately, with no injuries.
\nWhile the exact cause of the fire is still under investigation, John Burton, the hotel\u2019s marketing and public relations director, said there are suspicions that it was the embers from the fireplace in the main building that started the fire. \u201cThe fire did not penetrate the interior of the hotel,\u201d he said.
\nFor those who don\u2019t know, Stanley Kubrick shot the footage used in \u201cTimberline Lodge\u201d as the exterior of the \u201cOverlook Hotel\u201d where the story\u2019s metaphysical and horrific events take place, starring Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall and Jack Lloyd.
