More music nights are coming up including a newly-founded series of contemporary concerts on a mini Cyprus tour titled The Giorkin Project. The project was created in 2023 by Marilia Andreou and Phaedra Mylona, two young Cypriot instrumentalists, and a year after the project\u2019s launch, it returns renewed for its second series with a new ensemble.<\/p>\n
As Marilia and Phaedra are currently living in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, the newest project consists of three other instrumentalists \u2013 Enyalios Evangelou Papadopoulos, Sophia Price and Nikola Janjic. The three will share the stage on January 8 in Nicosia at ARTos House and on January 9 in Limassol at Polixoros Synergeio. Together they will present newly composed works by Veroniki Rezai, Evagoras Solias, Rafaelos Christofi, Michalis Kailis and Ioulios Georgakopoulos.<\/p>\n
The project\u2019s mission is to bring a fresh note to the classical music scene of Cyprus, by embracing and sharing the artistic work and vision of upcoming Cypriot composers of the new generation.<\/p>\n
