I may be a little bit late to the party but I have recently I watched The Night Agent on Netflix, and was fully drawn in by the plot, the action, and the story. Two FBI agents are killed, and a phone call is made to an FBI desk that rarely sees any action.<\/p>\n
The phone call comes from a start-up company owner, who is the niece of the couple killed. She is in a panic and makes the call based on instructions left by her relatives.<\/p>\n
Guided through the scene by the agent on the other end of the line, the mystery begins to unfold into the lives and mission of the woman\u2019s aunt and uncle.<\/p>\n
The show is full of twists and turns, and the story gets complicated with various US officials getting involved in conspiracies and private arms dealers, which take you for a ride. No-one is what they at first seem.<\/p>\n
I am always intrigued by shows that deal with intelligence agencies and the secret services. The mystery and intrigue of that line of work always draw me in, as they are jobs that balance many responsibilities and deal in covert matters.<\/p>\n
It is not gory or edge of your seat thriller, but there is definitely enough action and plot twisting to keep you interested. There is something to be said about subtle shows, which can be great without the big theatrics of guts spilling out of the body or brains being blown out in a shoot-out.<\/p>\n
The Night Agent made me nostalgic of all the crime and spy shows I would watch growing up, with the story that kept me enthralled.<\/p>\n
I would highly recommend sitting down and tucking into this series, especially if you like action and espionage. You will not regret watching it, but you might be left wondering if the night agent will reprise his skills for a season 2.<\/p>\n
