Monday <strong>received a fact-finding report<\/strong> over the medicine scandal in which he vowed he would act accordingly based on the findings.<\/p>\n<div class=\"cypru-video-ads\" id=\"cypru-797878537\">\n<div id=\"cypru-1594814435\" data-cypru-trackid=\"478051\" data-cypru-trackbid=\"1\" class=\"cypru-target\">\n<div id=\"gpt-ad-8755771266194-0\">\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The report comes after revelations that \u20ac880,000 worth of medicine was damaged on March 18 after bad weather flooded the warehouse.<br \/>\nTo make things worse, it later emerged the warehouse was leased by the government for \u20ac6,600\u00a0a year and then subleased back to the state at more than 10 times the price, at \u20ac135,000.<br \/>\nSpokesman for the health ministry Demetris Constantinou said the minister received the report shortly after noon but the contents were not known yet.<br \/>\nIt is a long report, for which Damianos has yet to study, he said.<br \/>\nNonetheless, the minister will study the report duly and \u201cact accordingly\u201d, the spokesman said.<br \/>\nHe added there is nothing more to be said publicly but once the report is complete, the ministry will take a stance.<br \/>\nDamianos has assured <strong>there are no shortages on medicines<\/strong> and there would be no problems.<br \/>\n\u201cThe ministry has the mechanisms both locally and internationally, to ensure the supply of medicine.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fact: Health
