A 25-year-old man from Limassol was arrested yesterday afternoon for driving under the influence of narcotics and possession of cannabis.
\nOfficers from the Avdimou Police spotted the man\u2019s vehicle on the Limassol-Paphos motorway at the Episkopi exit.
\nThe vehicle lacked a valid license plate and roadworthiness certificate. When officers signalled for the driver to pull over, he discarded two small bags from his car window before stopping.
\nPolice apprehended the driver and retrieved the bags, which contained cannabis. A subsequent drug test confirmed the presence of cocaine in the man\u2019s system.
\nDuring questioning, the 25-year-old admitted to the offences.
