Adani, the elder brother of previously world No. 3 Gautam Adani, heads the Adani Group, a sprawling conglomerate with interests in Indian ports, energy, and infrastructure.<br \/>\nFollowing closely behind is John Fredriksen, a Norwegian-Cypriot citizen, who occupies the 108th position with US$24.3 billion. Fredriksen\u2019s holdings encompass oil tankers, cargo ships, and deepwater drilling operations.<br \/>\nYakir Gabay (US$3.9 billion), the co-founder of German real estate giant Aroundtown SA, is another prominent Cypriot resident on the list. Joining him are Igor Makarov (US$2.1 billion), the founder of Russia\u2019s first independent gas company, Itera, and Sergey Dmitriev and Valentin Kipyatkov (US$2.9 billion and US$2.1 billion respectively), the co-founders of software company JetBrains. All three hold Cypriot passports.<br \/>\nThe Hadji-Ioannou siblings \u2013 Stelios (US$1.2 billion), the founder of budget airline easyJet, Polys (US$1.3 billion), who carries on the family\u2019s shipping legacy, and Klelia (US$1.1 billion) \u2013 further solidify the Cypriot presence on the ranking.
