{"id":6538,"date":"2024-04-02T16:00:25","date_gmt":"2024-04-02T13:00:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ch.jfdi.cc\/?p=6538"},"modified":"2024-04-02T16:00:25","modified_gmt":"2024-04-02T13:00:25","slug":"chevron-submits-proposal-for-aphrodite-gas-field","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ch.jfdi.cc\/?p=6538","title":{"rendered":"Chevron submits proposal for , \u2018Aphrodite\u2019 gas field"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ch.jfdi.cc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/chevron-submits-proposal-for-aphrodite-gas-field.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p>Chevron has submitted its proposal for developing the Aphrodite gas field, the energy ministry announced on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<div class=\"cypru-video-ads\" id=\"cypru-1959575744\">\n<div id=\"cypru-676997217\" data-cypru-trackid=\"478051\" data-cypru-trackbid=\"1\" class=\"cypru-target\">\n<div id=\"gpt-ad-3398391308534-0\">\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The development comes after months of negotiations over how the natural gas reserves in Block 12 will be exploited.<br \/>\nAccording to the energy ministry, the submission is geared towards improving the agreed framework of developing the gas field within the agreed timeframe.<br \/>\n<strong>Chevron is the operator of the consortium and a 35 per cent partner in the field<\/strong>, along with Shell (35 per cent) and Israeli firm NewMed Energy (30 per cent).<br \/>\n\u201cThe ministry will evaluate the proposal with its advisors and duly inform the consortium. In the meantime, no public statements will be made over the matter,\u201d the energy ministry said.<br \/>\nA bone of contention was the floating natural gas production unit (FPU) however in December, it emerged the gas giant had agreed to its use.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chevron has submitted a proposal for developing the Aphrodite gas field, with the energy ministry announcing the submission.
