The opening ceremony will be conducted by the General Secretary of AKEL, Stefanos Stefanou, on 15th April 2024, at 19:30.<br \/>\nIn his statements, Andreas Charalambous said: \u201cThe uniqueness of this exhibition lies in the presentation of a single artwork. The title of the work is \u2018The Symposium in Times of Pandemic\u2019. Alongside the artwork, the studies conducted for it will also be presented. It is my contribution to the reflections on society and thought regarding the Covid-19 pandemic. It was painted during the quarantine and restrictive measures, from March 2020 to March 2022. The sources of inspiration are found in the eponymous \u2018Little Tragedy\u2019 by Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin, written in the early 19th century when the plague ravaged European countries.\u201d<br \/>\nThe artwork will be discussed by historian and art critic Dr. Eleni Nikita, as well as the artist himself.<br \/>\nThe organisers of the exhibition are the Culture Department of the Central Committee of AKEL and the Provincial Cultural Office of AKEL Nicosia-Keryneia.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Visiting hours: 16:30-20:30 daily except Sundays<\/li>\n<li>Duration of Exhibition: Until Tuesday, 30th April 2024.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>painting. pandemic times, exhibition, artwork<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The well-known Cypriot painter Andreas Charalambous will exhibit his work &#8220;The Symposium in Pandemic Times&#8221; along with related studies at Gallery Chora in Nicosia from 15th to 30th April 2024.
