{"id":6064,"date":"2024-03-29T15:01:17","date_gmt":"2024-03-29T13:01:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ch.jfdi.cc\/?p=6064"},"modified":"2024-03-29T15:01:17","modified_gmt":"2024-03-29T13:01:17","slug":"abuses-in-gesy-e80000-in-fines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ch.jfdi.cc\/?p=6064","title":{"rendered":"Abuses in Gesy, , \u20ac80,000 in fines"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ch.jfdi.cc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/abuses-in-gesy-e80000-in-fines.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p>The Health Insurance Organisation (Hio) issued \u20ac80,000 in fines last year to over 40 health service providers for abusing Gesy, it emerged on Friday.<\/p>\n<div class=\"cypru-video-ads\" id=\"cypru-1181710202\">\n<div id=\"cypru-876563007\" data-cypru-trackid=\"478051\" data-cypru-trackbid=\"1\" class=\"cypru-target\">\n<div id=\"gpt-ad-5000847399666-0\">\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Data obtained by CNA revealed that in 2023, the Hio investigated over 350 cases for abuse or fraud for which more than 150 decisions were taken.<br \/>\nOver 80,000 requests filed by health service providers were rejected, <strong>amounting to around \u20ac10 million<\/strong>, Hio senior officer Georgia Christodoulou said.<br \/>\nShe specified that ten providers were suspended from the system including specialist doctors and other healthcare professionals.<br \/>\nAdditionally, the HIO referred some cases to the police, although Christodoulou did not specify the exact number, indicating it was <strong>fewer than ten cases currently under police investigation<\/strong>.<br \/>\nSome of the suspended contracts have since been reinstated, she specified.<br \/>\nAccording to Christodoulou, Hio is clamping down on abuses within the system and is expected to ramp up inspections.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Health Insurance Organisation (Hio) issued \u20ac80,000 in fines to over 40 health service providers for abusing Gesy.
