{"id":5530,"date":"2024-03-26T14:00:45","date_gmt":"2024-03-26T12:00:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ch.jfdi.cc\/?p=5530"},"modified":"2024-03-26T14:00:45","modified_gmt":"2024-03-26T12:00:45","slug":"pv-park-bid-in-reforested-area-rejected","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ch.jfdi.cc\/?p=5530","title":{"rendered":"PV park bid in reforested area rejected, \u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ch.jfdi.cc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/pv-park-bid-in-reforested-area-rejected.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p>An application to construct a photovoltaic\u202f(PV) park in a reforestation area has been rejected it emerged on Tuesday, in a case which is expected to set a precedent for others of similar nature.\u00a0<\/p>\n<div class=\"cypru-video-ads\" id=\"cypru-779678893\">\n<div id=\"cypru-701086611\" data-cypru-trackid=\"478051\" data-cypru-trackbid=\"1\" class=\"cypru-target\">\n<div id=\"gpt-ad-2602132820664-0\">\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The rejection of the application for the particular PV park in Maroni, in the Larnaca district, was based on an earlier decision by the ministries of the interior, agriculture and commerce, to not offer licences for PV parks in nature restoration areas.\u00a0<br \/>\nThe application by the company \u201cMain Group Europe Ltd\u201d was submitted to the planning department on February 22, 2022. The park was to have with a capacity of 3,623MWP.\u00a0<br \/>\nAccording to the interior ministry, the bid for the park\u2019s construction got rejected\u00a0from the agriculture ministry and the Larnaca district office, as it had been proposed to be built on a plot in a land reclamation zone, as well in close proximity to a residential zone.\u00a0<br \/>\nLarnaca MP Christos Orphanides has reportedly asked Interior Minister Constantinos Ioannou to inform parliament officially of the final decision over the matter.\u00a0<br \/>\nIt is expected that other PV park developers will be
