England\u00a0manager Gareth Southgate said reports linking him with the top job at Manchester United were completely disrespectful and that he would only make a decision about his future after the European Championship.<\/p>\n

Southgate is yet to agree a new deal ahead of the Euros, which will be his fourth major competition in charge of\u00a0England. His current contract runs through to the end of 2024.
\n\u201cMy focus is the European Championship,\u201d Southgate told reporters on Friday ahead of\u00a0England\u2018s friendly against Brazil.
\n\u201cIf we did something, a contract here (with\u00a0England) before, everybody would be saying, \u2018Why are you signing a contract before a Euros where you\u2019ve got to prove yourself?\u2019
\n\u201cI\u2019m certainly not going to speak to anybody else ahead of that. I never have. I\u2019ve been here eight years in the job. I wouldn\u2019t entertain speaking to anybody else when I\u2019m in a job.\u201d
\nReports in British media say the 53-year-old is among United co-owner Jim Ratcliffe\u2019s top candidates to replace Erik Ten Hag if the Dutchman parts ways with the Old Trafford club, who are sixth in the Premier League.
\n\u201cThere are two things from my point of view,\u201d Southgate added. \u201cOne is that I\u2019m the\u00a0England\u00a0manager. I\u2019ve got one job: to try to deliver a European Championship. Clearly, before that, two important games this week.
\n\u201cThe second thing is United have a manager. It\u2019s always completely disrespectful when there\u2019s any speculation about a manager that\u2019s in place.
\n\u201cI\u2019m president of the LMA (League Managers Association) so I don\u2019t have any time for that sort of thing really.\u201d
