A large fire erupted on Wednesday in a derelict cinema in Limassol.
\nFire Service Spokesperson Andreas Kettis confirmed that four fire engines and a telescopic arm vehicle were deployed to combat the blaze.
\nKettis noted that the cinema was completely engulfed in flames and that firefighters managed to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to surrounding buildings.
\nHe added that the cinema\u2019s roof collapsed and that residents of a nearby residence were evacuated.
\nThe Police said that roads nearing the abandoned Cinema Apollon were closed for safety.
