{"id":11749,"date":"2024-05-14T12:00:33","date_gmt":"2024-05-14T09:00:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ch.jfdi.cc\/?p=11749"},"modified":"2024-05-14T12:00:33","modified_gmt":"2024-05-14T09:00:33","slug":"haircut-depositors-compensation-platform-reopened","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ch.jfdi.cc\/?p=11749","title":{"rendered":"\u2018, Haircut\u2019 depositors compensation platform reopened"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ch.jfdi.cc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/haircut-depositors-compensation-platform-reopened.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p>An online platform through which <strong>depositors who suffered from the 2013 \u201chaircut\u201d can receive compensation<\/strong>, will be reopening on Tuesday, the finance ministry announced.<\/p>\n<div class=\"cypru-video-ads\" id=\"cypru-789072454\">\n<div id=\"cypru-51751129\" data-cypru-trackid=\"478051\" data-cypru-trackbid=\"1\" class=\"cypru-target\">\n<div id=\"gpt-ad-7720432291898-0\">\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Through the platform, available at the ministry webpage here, \u00a0applicants can submit their online applications to the National Solidarity Fund, starting at 10:30am.<br \/>\nAffected natural and legal persons classed as <strong>private clients<\/strong> whose deposits and securities were reduced during 2013 due to the implementation of consolidation measures in Bank of Cyprus and Laiki Bank, are eligible to apply.<br \/>\nIt is recalled that access to the electronic service for submitting an electronic application for the replenishment plan is made through the <strong>Cy Login profile<\/strong>, as follows:<br \/>\nNatural persons with a <strong>Cypriot identity<\/strong> card OR <strong>residence permit<\/strong> in Cyprus (ARC) as well as legal persons with a registration number in Cyprus: registration and identification on the CY Login Government Portal (formerly Ariadne) is required.<br \/>\nNatural persons who do not have a Cypriot identity card and are not residents of Cyprus as well as legal persons who do not have a registration number in Cyprus: <strong>registration<\/strong> on the Government Portal CY Login required and they will be identified when submitting their application through the entry and posting of additional details.<br \/>\nThe ministry notes that participation in the compensation plan can be done only via electronic application.<br \/>\nThe platform will be <strong>available until May 25<\/strong>.<br \/>\nDuring the previous period for submission of applications, which ended at midnight on April 30, 7,500 applicants were registered. The solidarity fund amounts to \u20ac160 million and will be boosted with an additional \u20ac50 million annually, ministry of finance director Giorgos Panteli told CyBC.<br \/>\nAccording to preliminary assessments compensated applicants will receive around\u00a0<strong>\u20ac8,000<\/strong> <strong>for each \u20ac100,000 lost<\/strong>.
