{"id":11156,"date":"2024-05-09T10:00:35","date_gmt":"2024-05-09T07:00:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ch.jfdi.cc\/?p=11156"},"modified":"2024-05-09T10:00:35","modified_gmt":"2024-05-09T07:00:35","slug":"cbc-consumer-loan-rates-rise-housing-loan-rates-dip","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ch.jfdi.cc\/?p=11156","title":{"rendered":"CBC: Consumer loan rates rise, housing loan rates dip"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ch.jfdi.cc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/cbc-consumer-loan-rates-rise-housing-loan-rates-dip.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p><strong>Cyprus witnessed a rise in consumer loan interest rates in March of this year, alongside a decrease in rates for housing loans, while household deposit rates saw an increase<\/strong>, according to a report released this week by the <strong>Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"cypru-video-ads\" id=\"cypru-1143543184\">\n<div id=\"cypru-1236855424\" data-cypru-trackid=\"478051\" data-cypru-trackbid=\"1\" class=\"cypru-target\">\n<div id=\"gpt-ad-5212942343021-0\">\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>According to the same data, in the same month, the total amount of new loans decreased by \u20ac79 million compared to the previous month.<br \/>\nWhat is more, the Central Bank reported that the interest rate for household time deposits up to one year increased to 2.24 per cent, compared to 1.98 per cent the previous month.<br \/>\nThe corresponding interest rate for deposits from non-financial corporations decreased to 2.24 per cent, compared to 2.53 per cent the previous month.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, the interest rate for consumer loans increased to 6.19 per cent, compared to 6.17 per cent the previous month.<br \/>\nIn contrast, the interest rate for housing loans decreased to 4.75 per cent, compared to 5.15 per cent the previous month.<br \/>\nThe interest rate for loans to non-financial corporations for amounts up to \u20ac1 million decreased to 5.52 per cent, compared to 5.91 per cent the previous month, as did the interest rate for loans to non-financial corporations for amounts over \u20ac1 million, which recorded a decrease to 5.88 per cent, compared to 6.07 per cent the previous month.<br \/>\nElsewhere, the report noted that, in March 2024, the total new loans decreased to \u20ac496.4 million, compared to \u20ac575.5 million the previous month, according to the Central Bank.<br \/>\nSpecifically, new consumer loans decreased to \u20ac22.2 million, of which \u20ac20.5 million were net new loans, compared to \u20ac23.2 million the previous month, of which \u20ac21.3 million were net new loans.<br \/>\nNew housing loans decreased to \u20ac119.6 million, of which \u20ac86.9 million were net new loans, compared to \u20ac144.1 million the previous month, of which \u20ac79.2 million were net new loans.<br \/>\nNew loans to non-financial corporations for amounts up to \u20ac1 million increased to \u20ac69.3 million, of which \u20ac52.2 million were net new loans, compared to \u20ac57.3 million the previous month, of which \u20ac37.6 million were net new loans.<br \/>\nFinally, new loans to non-financial corporations for amounts over \u20ac1 million decreased to \u20ac270.8 million, of which \u20ac123.8 million were net new loans, compared to \u20ac340.7 million the previous month, of which \u20ac124.4 million were net new loans.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cyprus witnessed a rise in consumer loan interest rates in March of this year, alongside a decrease in rates for housing loans, while household deposit rates saw an increase, according to a report released by the Central Bank of Cyprus.
