{"id":10248,"date":"2024-05-01T01:00:25","date_gmt":"2024-04-30T22:00:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ch.jfdi.cc\/?p=10248"},"modified":"2024-05-01T01:00:25","modified_gmt":"2024-04-30T22:00:25","slug":"cyprus-government-reports-e45-1-million-surplus-for-q4-23","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ch.jfdi.cc\/?p=10248","title":{"rendered":"Cyprus government reports , \u20ac45.1 million surplus for Q4-23"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ch.jfdi.cc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/cyprus-government-reports-e45-1-million-surplus-for-q4-23.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p>The <strong>Cyprus general government generated a surplus of \u20ac45.1 million during the final quarter<\/strong> of 2023, compared to a <strong>surplus of \u20ac29.2 million<\/strong> in the <strong>same period of 2022<\/strong>, according to a report released on Tuesday by the state\u2019s statistical service.<\/p>\n<div class=\"cypru-video-ads\" id=\"cypru-874698843\">\n<div id=\"cypru-705374487\" data-cypru-trackid=\"478051\" data-cypru-trackbid=\"1\" class=\"cypru-target\">\n<div id=\"gpt-ad-2806656303089-0\">\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Total revenue for the October-December 2023 period increased by \u20ac439.2 million<\/strong> (13 per cent), reaching \u20ac3.82 billion, compared to \u20ac3.38 billion in the corresponding period of 2022.<br \/>\nSpecifically, production and import taxes rose by \u20ac121.9 million (11.5 per cent), totalling \u20ac1.17 billion compared to \u20ac1.05 billion in Q4 2022.<br \/>\nNet VAT revenues increased by \u20ac71.2 million (9.9 per cent), reaching \u20ac791.3 million compared to \u20ac720.1 million in the same quarter of 2022.<br \/>\nSocial contributions increased by \u20ac98.4 million (11.1 per cent), totalling \u20ac984.7 million compared to \u20ac886.3 million in Q4 2022.<br \/>\nIncome taxes and wealth taxes increased by \u20ac17.5 million (1.9 per cent), totalling \u20ac936.3 million compared to \u20ac918.8 million in the corresponding quarter of 2022.<br \/>\nRevenues from goods and services provision increased by \u20ac37.0 million (13.6 per cent), reaching \u20ac308.8 million compared to \u20ac271.8 million in Q4 2022.<br \/>\nCapital transfers increased by \u20ac138.2 million, totaling \u20ac271.3 million compared to \u20ac133.1 million in the same quarter of 2022.<br \/>\nProperty income receivable increased by \u20ac39.4 million, reaching \u20ac55.7 million compared to \u20ac16.3 million in Q4 2022.<br \/>\nConversely, current transfers decreased by \u20ac13.1 million (12.7 per cent), totalling \u20ac89.9 million compared to \u20ac103.0 million in Q4 2022.<br \/>\nMeanwhile,<strong> total expenditures for the October-December 2023 period increased by \u20ac423.2 million<\/strong> (12.6 per cent), reaching \u20ac3.78 billion compared to \u20ac3.35 billion in the corresponding period of 2022.<br \/>\nSpecifically, social benefits increased by \u20ac79.4 million (6.6 per cent), totalling \u20ac1.28 billion compared to \u20ac1.2 billion in Q4 2022.<br \/>\nPersonnel expenses (including social security contributions and public employee pensions) increased by \u20ac144.8 million (14.8 per cent), totalling \u20ac1.12 billion compared to \u20ac980.3 million in the corresponding quarter of 2022.<br \/>\nProperty income payable increased by \u20ac31.0 million (35.3 per cent), reaching \u20ac119.0 million compared to \u20ac88.0 million in Q4 2022.<br \/>\nOther current expenses increased by \u20ac33.4 million (13.6 per cent), totalling \u20ac278.9 million compared to \u20ac245.5 million in the same quarter of 2022.<br \/>\nCapital account increased by \u20ac191.9 million (53.5 per cent), totalling \u20ac550.8 million (\u20ac456.8 million in capital investments and \u20ac94.0 million in capital transfers) compared to \u20ac358.9 million (\u20ac309.1 million in capital investments and \u20ac49.8 million in capital transfers) in Q4 2022.<br \/>\nConversely, intermediate consumption decreased by \u20ac18.7 million (4.6 per cent), totalling \u20ac385.1 million compared to \u20ac403.8 million in the corresponding quarter of 2022.<br \/>\nFinally, subsidies decreased by \u20ac38.6 million (49.1 per cent), totalling \u20ac40.0 million compared to \u20ac78.6 million in Q4 2022.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Cyprus general government generated a surplus of \u20ac45.1 million during the final quarter of 2023, compared to a surplus of \u20ac29.2 million in the same period of 2022.
