Funds disbursed for single-parent families

The Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare announced the disbursement of support for single-parent families. This support includes a lump sum payment of 100 euros for the first child and an additional 50 euros for each subsequent child, up to a maximum of 250 euros. Families with more than four dependent children receive an extra 100 euros. Eligibility criteria include having an annual income of up to 19,500 euros and a maximum deposit of 10,000 euros. Additionally, families receiving child benefit with an annual income of up to 25,000 euros and a maximum deposit of 15,000 euros are also eligible for the lump sum. Households eligible for the Guaranteed Minimum Income will receive their payments within the week.

REALTYon, the only event in Cyprus dedicated to the entire property industry, is set for its second edition on July 3-4, 2024, at the City of Dreams Mediterranean Integrated Resort. The 2024 edition will offer over 10 hours of content on more than 15 real-estate industry topics, addressing themes like moving to Cyprus, investing in real estate, proptech, ESG and sustainability, and tokenization in real estate.

Christodoulides to meet UN envoy Holguin

President Nikos Christodoulides of Cyprus is scheduled to meet with Maria Holguin, the UN Secretary General’s personal envoy, to discuss specific issues and receive updates. Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos emphasized that any discussions with the Turkish Cypriot side would remain within the UN framework. Christodoulides mentioned that Holguin’s visit, which is expected to last about a week to ten days, will not be limited to a single meeting. Holguin is also set to meet with Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar. The president expressed hope for positive developments towards resuming talks, following discussions with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Holguin’s other contacts, including in Brussels.
