The Attorney General, Giorgos Savvidis, welcomed the decision of the Anti-Corruption Authority, made public today, regarding the complaints submitted to the Authority by the Audit Service and concerning the Assistant Attorney General, Savvas Angelidis. "It is with particular satisfaction that we welcome today's decision of the Independent Anti-Corruption Authority, which rejected all the complaints submitted to it by the Auditor General against the Assistant Attorney General of the Republic," the Attorney General said in a written statement.
In addition, Mr. Savvidis expressed his surprise at the reaction-announcement of the Auditor General, Odysseus Michaelides, who, as the Attorney General meaningfully notes, "is once again evading his constitutional responsibilities. Any further comments on this are not current."
