The Republican Turkish Party (CTP) celebrated its 53rd anniversary

"Our struggle will continue until the earth and Cyprus become the face of love"

The Republican Turkish Party (CTP) celebrated its 53rd year since its foundation at a small event, with the slogan: "We will walk this road together", according to the "Yeni Duzen" newspaper, as reported by the Press and Information Office.

Speaking at the ceremony, which was attended by old and new CTP officials, including former Turkish Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat and former party chairman Ferti Sabit Soyer, current CTP leader Tufan Erhiurman said they will continue the fight for democracy and peace "and the struggle of this people to stand on its own two feet and govern itself."

"Our struggle will continue until the land and Cyprus become the face of love," he said.

He also added that "the only thing that has not been tried in this country is the CTP being in power on its own" and said that "we will rule this country together," he said, recalling that the CTP was the first party in the last "interim elections".
